Lindsy grew up in a small rural town in south Louisiana, in the Acadiana region.
After earning a degree in hospitality management, she began traveling to satisfy her thirst for knowledge. Spending years eating her way through the U.S., her adventures subsequently led her across the world to Thailand. Residing in the moat-enclosed, city of Chiang Mai, she scoured the copious markets for bizarre ingredients. Always on the hunt for the perfect Khao Soi, or the best coconut ice cream. In Asia, her love of cooking, and experimenting with new ingredients blossomed. Despite the fact that travel has contributed to the formation of the culinary oyster that is her universe, South Louisiana was the sand that gave rise to the pearl inside. Her culinary prowess began like most, with instruction from her mother and grandmother. More than any culinary school could teach her, Lindsy's mother and grandmother taught her how to be warm and inviting. They taught her to cook with what was on hand, fresh, and local. They taught her french techniques, and skills passed down by generations of excellent cajun cooks. They taught her how to make food that makes you say WOW! I want more.
Traveling, sharing great meals with old friends, breaking bread with new friends, is the inspiration for Louisiana Lindsy's Dine-In. She leaves behind a 20 year restaurant career to share her love of food, and passion for cooking with you.
